Business Development Manager for Defence and Security Industries

At Advanced Navigation, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation in AI robotics and navigation technology across land, air, sea, and space. We're seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in the Defence and Security industries across ANZ/APAC.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced sales professional to drive business growth and expansion in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. You will be responsible for developing and progressing a pipeline of opportunities within the Defence and Security industries, working closely with our customers and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a balanced sales opportunity funnel for Defence applications across the region, ensuring sufficient scale and quality to achieve assigned order bookings targets.
- Progress these opportunities to closure in a professional and timely manner, utilizing your expertise and knowledge of our products and solutions.
- Maintain our internal CRM system to the required standards of completeness, accuracy, and currency, ensuring seamless collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments, applying this knowledge to inform strategic business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of sales, marketing, and product strategies, driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- 3+ years' experience in the APAC Defence industry, with a solid understanding of PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing) technologies.
- Proven track record in business development, including qualification, discovery, progression, negotiation, and closure, as well as territory and account planning.
- Executive presence and ability to represent and present Advanced Navigation's value proposition to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, passionate about delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
