Job Description:
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Physician with a passion for medical education and training to lead our Basic Physician Training program across the St Vincent's South West Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of high-quality teaching and supervision to Junior Doctors at three sites: St Vincent's Hospital Sydney, Campbelltown Hospital, and Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Management of Physician training across the St Vincent's South West Network
  • Provide leadership and coordination for the networked Basic Physician Training program
  • Work collaboratively with Manager Medical Workforce related to the Basic Physician Training Network
  • Involvement with the day-to-day workforce management of Basic Physician Trainees

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
  • Possess, or be eligible to possess, specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated strategic clinical leadership experience
  • Demonstrated superior organizational skills
  • Demonstrated superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of adult learning
  • Examiner or Provisional Examiner with Royal Australian College of Physicians
  • A current clinical appointment at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney or at another site within the training network is preferable
