Job Title: Category Manager

The Category Manager plays a pivotal role within our Buying team, responsible for overseeing marketing and sales strategies, coordinating with suppliers, and gathering information on market and sales trends to identify customer needs.

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to lead our Category Management function, working closely with stakeholders to drive business growth and profitability.

  • Analyse competitors' marketing, selection, and pricing strategies to improve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Develop and implement category strategy to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Negotiate relationships with existing suppliers to secure best pricing, sales programs, and promotional support.
  • Maintain industry expertise and stay up-to-date on trends and new product ideas.

Skillset and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of Product Category management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles.
  • Analytical mind with strategic ability.
  • Position ownership/Team leadership experience.
  • Experience with General Merchandise/product highly desirable.
  • 'Seasonal' range building and event 'end to end' category management also highly desirable.
  • Overseas supplier Liaison/Management experience.
