Category Management Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to drive revenue and category profit growth for a leading retailer.

The Role:

This role plays a key part in driving sales and profitability by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and taking ownership of category planning, ranging, pricing, promotions, supplier relationship management, and negotiation.

  • Manage relationships with suppliers
  • Participate in supplier negotiations
  • Develop compelling value propositions for customers based on insights and data
  • Monitor customer engagement in stores
  • Work with stores to achieve category success
  • Manage budgets and forecasts
  • Inventory and purchasing plans to maintain cash flow
  • Report on category performance
  • Contribute to promoting the business culture

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience in retail category management
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Proven experience managing successful supplier relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills
  • High level of initiative
