Job Title: Category Strategist

A highly skilled and motivated Category Strategist is required to lead the development and execution of category strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

About the Role:
  • Develop and execute category strategies to drive sales growth, profitability, and market share.
  • Lead a team to deliver targets on sales growth, profitability, and market share through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with suppliers to build relationships and optimize the supplier portfolio within the category to increase sales, profit, and customer advocacy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize own brand offers and grow customer advocacy.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Category Manager in a large retail organization or FMCG environment.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with divisional strategy, supported by sound commercial insights and data.
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • The ability to become an industry expert within Australia in your responsibility field.
