Job Title: Strategic Procurement ExpertWe are seeking a skilled and experienced procurement professional to join our team. As a Strategic Procurement Expert, you will play a key role in developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive value for our organization.Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and manage procurement plans that align with stakeholder needs and organizational objectives.
  • Tendering Processes: Lead tendering processes, requests for quotes, and panel access while ensuring compliance with policies and legislative requirements.
  • Expert Advice: Provide expert advice, training, and support to internal teams on procurement procedures, risk management, and best practices.
  • Policy Development: Monitor and update procurement policies and systems to reflect industry standards and regulatory changes.
  • Supply Chain Solutions: Collaborate with stakeholders to design innovative supply solutions that deliver value for money and support service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Educational Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, law, commerce, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience in a procurement role within a government environment.
  • Tender Management: Proven ability to manage tender and quotation processes from preparation through to administration.
  • Procurement Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement legislation, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Risk Management: Experience in contract administration and supplier performance monitoring, with sound risk management skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, deliver training, and engage effectively with stakeholders.
