The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and be able to effectively manage procurement plans, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and collaborate with stakeholders to design innovative supply solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage tailored procurement plans and documentation to meet stakeholder needs and service objectives.
  • Lead tendering processes, requests for quotes, and panel access while ensuring compliance with Council policies and legislative requirements.
  • Provide expert advice, training, and support on procurement procedures, risk management, and best practices.
  • Monitor and update procurement policies and systems to reflect industry standards and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver value for money and support service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, law, commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a procurement role within a government environment.
  • Proven ability to manage tender and quotation processes from preparation through to administration.
  • Strong understanding of procurement legislation, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and engage effectively with stakeholders.
