Procurement Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end procurement activities across diverse portfolios, partnering with stakeholders to deliver innovative and value-driven supply solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage procurement plans and documentation tailored to stakeholder needs and service objectives.
  • Lead tendering processes, requests for quotes, and panel access while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice, training, and support to internal teams on procurement procedures, risk management, and best practices.
  • Monitor and update procurement policies and systems to reflect industry standards and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement innovative supply solutions that deliver value for money and support service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a procurement role within a government environment.
  • Proven ability to manage tender and quotation processes from preparation through to administration.
  • Strong understanding of procurement legislation, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in contract administration and supplier performance monitoring, with sound risk management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prepare reports, deliver training, and engage effectively with stakeholders.
