Procurement Expertise Role

This pivotal role encompasses end-to-end procurement activities across diverse portfolios, requiring a strategic partner to deliver innovative supply solutions that meet stakeholder needs.

  • Develop and manage tailored procurement plans and documentation, ensuring alignment with stakeholder objectives and service requirements.
  • Lead tendering processes, request for quotes, and panel access while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide expert advice, training, and support to internal teams on procurement best practices, risk management, and procedural guidance.
  • Monitor and update procurement policies and systems to reflect industry standards and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design value-driven supply solutions that enhance service delivery and fiscal responsibility.

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, law, commerce, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional expertise.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a procurement role within a government environment, showcasing strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage tender and quotation processes from preparation through to administration, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Strong understanding of procurement legislation, policies, and compliance requirements, with the capacity to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in contract administration and supplier performance monitoring, coupled with sound risk management skills to mitigate potential issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, deliver training, and engage effectively with stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
