Job Description

As a WHS Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring adherence to Amazon standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to onsite management teams and corporate-based reporting systems
  • Supporting management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions
  • Recommending suitable risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics

In addition, the successful candidate will have experience in:

  • Worker's compensation case management
  • Emergency response planning
  • Leading and managing a team effectively

Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills are essential for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proven track record of delivering results-driven safety programs
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is highly desirable.
