Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our team as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist. This role involves working as part of a broader health, safety and well-being team to provide support to our hospitals in New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective occupational health and safety strategies to prevent injuries and illnesses in the workplace.
  • Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on WHS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop control measures to mitigate hazards.
  • Investigate work-related incidents and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety, business administration or human resources.
  • Proven experience in WHS management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
