Occupational Health Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our health and safety team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional health, safety, and wellness performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement programs for occupational health, wellness, injury prevention, injury management, and return-to-work initiatives.
- Support site operations in implementing health and safety programs.
- Analyze tasks for potential psychosocial issues and execute injury prevention activities.
- Participate in incident investigation processes, particularly those related to psychosocial or mental health injuries.
- E nsure compliance to relevant legislation.
- Compile metrics and reports on key data points to help the manager prepare regular and ad-hoc reports.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Health and/or Safety, psychology, behavioral health, public health, health science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an occupational setting, ideally with knowledge of Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Experience in worker's compensation case management, Return to Work Coordinator, or equivalent qualification(s).
- Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills.
- Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and equipment for potential concerns and conduct job hazard and job analysis.
