
Strategic Bid Lead

The Senior Bid Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and success by leading bid teams to secure winning and profitable bids. This position involves managing all aspects and stages of bids, from initiation and planning to post-submission and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult on the application of project management principles and expertise to the management of bids, ensuring effective resource allocation, timeframes, risk assessment, quality control, and governance.
- Manage bid resources to facilitate the development of appropriate deal strategies, solution architectures, commercial models, and delivery/service management plans.
- Evaluate and mitigate the organization's risk exposure on all bids, communicating this information to stakeholders and addressing/mitigating accordingly.
- Maintain an auditable trail of all bid artefacts and records on recognized systems.
- Ensure that each bid undergoes requisite team and management reviews before client submission, adhering to corporate governance standards.
- Communicate accurately and timely with stakeholders, taking responsibility for clarifying communications.
- Facilitate the sourcing of general bid collateral from authorized owners within the business.
- Create standard templates for less complex bids.
- Review customer requirements to ensure they are met in proposals, collaborating with various parties to include necessary information.
- Track Tender/RFP processes and record keeping of strategic dates and information to be provided/presented.
- Extensive experience in a bid management role in a technology system integrator or similar organization.
- Strong experience in managing, coordinating, and implementing the bid process successfully.
- Advanced demonstrated experience researching and collaborating with subject matter experts to write and edit compelling proposals tailored to client needs.
- Advanced knowledge of elements contributing to bids, including geographic scope, solution scope, service scope, and commercial complexity.
- Business and financial acumen.
- Excellent attention to detail and high-quality work.
- Able to utilize key systems and tools related to bids.
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across functions.
- Advanced knowledge about the industry, including competitors and market trends.
