Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning menus, preparing high-quality dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate with colleagues will be essential in ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and price menu items
  • Cook and prepare entrees, mains, desserts, and other menu items
  • FOLLOW FOOD SAFETY PROCEDURES, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES, AND MAINTAIN HYGIENE
  • Train kitchen staff
  • Evaluate and maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation in all food prepared
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 1-2 years' work experience in a professional kitchen as a Chef
  • A minimum Certificate IV or Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
  • A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively
  • A positive attitude and a passion for food
