Culturally Sensitive Family Support Specialist

About the Opportunity
The successful candidate will possess a profound understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as experience working with children, young people, and their families. They will be able to provide culturally competent case management support and participate in facilitation of group work.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support a team of residential care workers.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.
- Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
Requirements:
- Hold a current and valid Driver's Licence;
- Hold a current and valid Employee Working with Children Check,
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
- Hold a valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check;
- Relevant Diploma with substantial experience, including four additional mandatory competencies (top-up units)
