The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is seeking a highly skilled Director, Case Management to lead the establishment and management of a new team responsible for employee-related cases. The successful candidate will oversee the management of complex cases, including compensation and investigations, and provide guidance to team members as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a new Case Management team and develop a comprehensive case management approach.
- Manage complex employee-related cases, taking a risk-based approach and considering reputational, regulatory, and legal consequences.
- Oversee and guide internal and external investigations, reviewing the employee complaint portfolio and reporting on trends and behaviors of concern.
- Manage workplace grievances by undertaking high-quality, timely, and independent investigations into employee misconduct and behavior.
- Oversee health and rehabilitation case management activities for injured or ill employees, including compensation claims and early intervention.
- Manage and mentor a team of rehabilitation case managers, performance case managers, and investigators.
- Contribute to the provision of advice to Commission leadership on employee-related issues.
- Regularly review the quality standards and effectiveness of case management processes.
- Sustain effective positive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Manage case management operations, including budgets, contracts, procurement, and human resources.
- Lead case management staff to achieve individual and team performance objectives.
- Identify and manage workforce risks.
- Actively contribute to relevant governance committees and/or working groups.
- Highly developed leadership and change management skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and supportive team culture.
- Extensive knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and policy frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic direction.
- High standard of verbal and written communication.
