Operational Leader for High-Risk Domestic and Family Violence Response

Job Summary
This role is a critical part of the Queensland Government's efforts to provide high-quality assistance to victims of domestic and family violence. As an Operational Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team that responds to high-risk situations, ensuring timely and trauma-informed support to those affected.
About the Role
As Regional Practice Lead, you will drive best practices, foster staff well-being, lead training and development, and build strong relationships with stakeholders in North Queensland. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert guidance on financial assistance applications for high-risk domestic and family violence victims.
- Making complex decisions regarding VOCAA provision, ensuring evidence-based outcomes.
- Serving as a proxy for Victim Assist at various HRT sites, as required.
- BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS TO DELIVER VICTIM ASSIST SERVICES EFFICIENTLY.
- Offering analysis and advice on operational processes and policy issues affecting VOCAA and the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012.
- LEADING A CULTURE THAT VALUES TRAUMA-INFORMED APPROACHES, COLLABORATION, INNOVATIVE PERFORMANCE, AND POSITIVE CONTRIBUTIONS FROM STAFF.
- Developing and implementing a framework to support regional staff, prioritizing their well-being, fostering effective communication, and strengthening connections across regions.

To succeed in this role, you will need exceptional leadership and analytical skills, combined with the ability to navigate complex situations. You must have experience in managing teams, building strong relationships, and driving best practices.
What We Offer
