We have multiple locations across Queensland, offering a range of services including Family and Child Connect (FaCC) programs. These programs support families who are at risk of entering or re-entering the child protection system.
**About this Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Domestic and Family Violence Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work alongside case workers to undertake risk assessments and provide effective intervention to families experiencing domestic violence.
You will raise awareness of the nature and impact of domestic and family violence, screen and assess risks, and provide specialist advice and assistance to the team and stakeholders. You will also assist with assessment of client needs, support and referral planning, and attend relevant meetings and stakeholder forums.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you will require a relevant tertiary qualification in social work, community services, or a related field. You must have at least 3-4 years of experience working in a similar role, with a clear understanding of child protection issues and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
Experience providing direct case work and intervention to parents and children affected by trauma, domestic violence, mental health, or other forms of adversity using a strength-based approach is essential. You will also need to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice response to domestic violence, including the use of exclusion orders and Domestic Violence Orders (DVOs).
