Role Overview

As a High-Risk Response Specialist with the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland through effective prevention, preparation, response, and recovery activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be part of a team responding to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by the QFES to ensure safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
Requirements
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
  • Employers written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable)
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The role also offers a range of benefits, including opportunities for career growth and development, as well as a safe and healthy work environment.
