Position Overview
As an Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships between the police and the Aboriginal community. This position is specifically designed for individuals of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, as outlined by relevant employment strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to police commands regarding local Aboriginal matters.
- Establish and maintain strong connections with Elders, Leaders, and community members.
- Develop networks to enhance cooperation and communication between the Aboriginal community and law enforcement.
- Assist community members in navigating local policing issues and interactions with other statutory organizations.

Requirements
- Applicants must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past six months or hold NSW Police Force Bronze Certification.
- Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification as per government regulations.
- A Working With Children Check (WWCC) is mandatory for this role, and applicants are responsible for obtaining their own clearance.
