About the Role

The Indigenous Content Lead plays a pivotal role in the planning and execution of effective content strategies for NITV's platforms and Acquisitions, driving continuous improvement in brand awareness and audience growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, negotiate, and acquire produced content that aligns with channel strategy and enhances the NITV brand.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Australian and international content suppliers to secure high-quality content.
  • Ensure acquisitions content framework aligns with NITV's content strategy, fostering a cohesive and engaging viewing experience.
  • Collaborate with the NITV Programmer to ensure acquired content meets scheduling requirements and is placed effectively.
  • Contribute to broader strategy discussions for SBS OnDemand, representing Indigenous content and providing key insights to inform decision-making.
  • Work closely with NITV departments to understand content priorities and stay informed about their slate.
  • Ensure content is scheduled, published, and featured on-time without error, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Suggest and develop concepts and ideas for content placement and collections across the SBS On Demand platform and NITV Channel page.
About You
  • Knowledge of Indigenous TV content and a passion for storytelling.
  • Audience-focused approach with a keen interest in curating content that resonates with diverse viewers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, as well as other databases and design tools.
  • A detail-oriented individual with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
