KB Seafood Co. is a leading Australian seafood company that operates across the entire supply chain, from catching and processing to manufacturing, importing, exporting, and wholesaling. With a strong presence in the market, we provide over 30,000 tonnes of seafood annually to major foodservice operators and supermarkets.

About the Role

This is a critical position that will play a key role in implementing and managing quality assurance processes and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality assurance protocols, performing internal audits, and conducting regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain quality assurance protocols and standard operating procedures for KB Mulgrave office.
  • Perform internal audits and help maintain the audit schedule for Mulgrave's quality management system, ensuring all audits are completed and followed up in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of KB products to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Support the management of product quality assessments for all KB imported products, including sensory evaluation, label reviews, and product specification updates, to ensure all KB products meet agreed product specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and compliance regulations, such as HACCP, GFSI, CFMSR, WSEP, Aldi, MSC/ASC, BAP, RSPO, and other applicable standards for KB products.
  • Maintain product databases and update KB specifications.
  • Communicate compliance requirements and updates to supply base customers, including Coles, WW, Aldi, Costco, HelloFresh, Marley Spoon, and others.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology or other Food Science.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within FMCG or Food organisations.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, food quality, and legislative/regulatory requirements in GFSI standards.
  • Strong experience working with customer-specific platforms.
  • Keen eye for detail and strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
  • HACCP/Food Safety Qualification/Accreditation (desired).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite.
