Job Summary:

SGS is seeking a highly skilled Food Technical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for the thorough technical review of completed audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical File Review & feedback on audit packages.
  • Check corrective action submission in accordance with the scheme requirement to ensure full compliance to standard.
  • Review documentary evidence.
  • Ensure maintenance of all required audit review documentation.
  • Assisting the Food Technical Manager and Certification Manager as directed.
  • Improving and developing technical report standards programs.
  • Liaise between program co-ordinators and auditors to ensure review timelines are met.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic records including scheme standard Databases and reports.
  • Achieve the highest levels of customer sales/service to maintain the growth of the customer base.
  • Ensure maintenance of all required audit documentation.
  • Complete any other tasks necessary to fulfill all of the role's responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Formal qualifications in a food related subject
  • Be certified SQF/GSFI file reviewer
  • Proactive approach to reviews and feedback
  • Detailed understanding of the Certification Industry or a related environment.
  • Attention to detail and good use of written English
  • Demonstrate competence in office-based computer systems.
  • Required program training and updates to be competent as lead auditor, file reviewer and certification decision maker.
