Job Description- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent strategy aligned with the firm's vision, goals, and culture.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on all people-related matters, providing expert guidance on employee relations, succession planning, and performance management.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding processes for both legal and business services staff, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
- Oversee talent development programs, including mentoring, coaching, and training initiatives, designed to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Partner with practice leaders to ensure effective capacity and resourcing management, driving business growth through strategic workforce planning.
- Design and manage performance frameworks, appraisal processes, and capability development programs, promoting a high-performance culture.
- Implement learning and development initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including dispute resolution and workplace investigations, ensuring a safe and respectful work environment.
- Promote wellbeing, engagement, and diversity initiatives across the organization, driving a positive and inclusive culture.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, WHS obligations, and workplace policies, maintaining a proactive approach to risk management.
- Manage HR systems, data, and reporting, ensuring accurate and confidential records, and facilitating informed decision-making.
- Monitor compliance with CPD requirements for all practising lawyers, ensuring up-to-date records and meeting regulatory obligations.
- Oversee monthly and fortnightly payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven track record in HR leadership roles, preferably in professional services or law firms.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, HR best practice, and workplace compliance.
- Experience using HRIS/payroll systems to manage end-to-end HR and payroll processes.
- Demonstrated success in building and executing people strategies that support business growth.
- Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, business, law, or a related field.
