About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR leader to join our team at The Next Step as a Head of Business Partnerships. This is a critical role that will play a key part in shaping the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of HR Business Partners and Advisors, providing guidance and support to ensure they deliver high-quality services to our stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning and Alignment: You will work closely with the Associate Director of P&C to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: You will build and maintain effective relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, including executive stakeholders, to ensure seamless collaboration and advice on complex matters.
  • Workforce Data Analysis and Insights: You will analyze data and trends to identify emerging issues and areas for service improvement, providing recommendations for action.
  • Complex People Matters and Escalations: You will provide direction and guidance to the BPs for complex people matters or directly resolve highly sensitive escalated matters.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification: You must hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as HR or Business.
  • Experience: You must have significant experience in HR, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • HR Generalist Skills: You must possess strong HR generalist skills, including the ability to utilize workforce data to devise appropriate people solutions.
  • Education Experience: Highly desirable is your education experience, with a strong understanding of the education sector.
