
Strategic Commercial Manager

This key leadership position will play a pivotal role in driving strategic impact on work winning initiatives. Responsibilities include leading commercial strategy and risk management during the pre-contract phase, reviewing and assessing tender documents, contracts, and pricing for new and renewal opportunities, as well as developing and implementing commercial strategies aligned with business procedures.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong commercial acumen, risk management skills, and excellent communication abilities. Collaboration with bid teams, estimators, and business units will be crucial to mitigate risks, validate pricing, prepare key documentation, and ensure compliance with client and project requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, supplier evaluations, contract handovers, negotiations, claims, and renewals, while also liaising with Legal, Treasury, and Finance to meet corporate requirements.
Requirements- Degree-qualified in Business, Law, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in commercial and contract management, ideally within the construction or telecommunications industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multi-million dollar projects.
- Strong commercial acumen and skilled in risk management, pricing, and dispute resolution.
- Solid understanding of construction principles, legal frameworks, and commercial governance.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver strategic outcomes.
