Clinical Leader in Mental Health Treatment

We are seeking a passionate leader to oversee the implementation of clinical mental health treatment interventions and education. This role involves responsibility for leadership, clinical supervision, education and mentoring of staff to ensure best practice is met across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilising a continuous quality improvement approach to provide strategic guidance on the implementation and sustenance of mental health divisional orientation and induction approaches for new staff.
- Work with key stakeholders/leadership teams to ensure an integrated approach to the delivery of the orientation program for the division.
- Support the leadership team to develop and utilise policies and procedures that enable the smooth implementation of early career graduation programs.
- Support the embedding of evidence-based practices including choice and partnership approach (CAPA) informed peer practice supervision within divisional clinical teams.
- Provide support to clinical leads and managers in their roles.
- Comply with federal, NT, and local government legislation, regulations, permits, and/or by-laws.
About You
- You should have completed tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, OT, nursing, or allied health.
- Eligibility for registration with AHPRA or AASW depending on discipline is required.
- You should possess exceptional communication skills, the ability to represent stakeholders effectively, and the capacity to establish partnership approaches.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a health-related discipline is necessary.
- Leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated project management experience, particularly in leading reforms and change management processes, as well as researching, analysing information, and producing quality reports/proposals, is essential.
- Experience in planning, facilitation, and training, along with the ability to lead planning sessions, conduct in-services, workshop training, and reflective practice sessions, is crucial.
- Prior experience in providing training, workshops, and workforce development opportunities to clinical mental health staff is also required.
- You should have skills and experience in the provision of workforce development approaches to clinical mental health staff and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strategic communication and relationship management skills are necessary for navigating complex divisions and achieving outcomes.
- This position requires a highly resilient, flexible, and future-focused leader who maintains boundaries, effectively manages competing priorities, and contributes to a safe, productive, cooperative, and friendly workplace.
- Previous experience in student and/or graduate placement coordination and supervision is advantageous.
- A passion for youth mental health and a keen interest in improving service provision for young people and families in the Darwin, Palmerston, and Katherine regions are preferred.
Remuneration and Benefits
The HPSS Level 4.2 salary for this position is $108,447.94 per annum, plus superannuation and additional benefits, including salary packaging options and five weeks of annual leave.
