Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and inspirational leader to oversee the implementation and leadership of clinical mental health treatment interventions and education across our service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a continuous quality improvement approach to ensure the smooth delivery of the Mental Health Division's orientation and induction program for new staff.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and leadership teams to integrate the orientation program and ensure a cohesive approach to service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and utilisation of policies and procedures to support the successful implementation of the Early Career Graduation Program.
  • Support the embedding of evidence-based practices, including the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) and informed peer practice supervision, within clinical teams.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to clinical leads and managers to enhance their skills and knowledge in leadership and workforce development.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, NT, and Local Government legislation, regulations, permits, and by-laws.

About You

  • You will have a completed tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, OT, Nursing, or Allied Health.
  • Registration with AHPRA or AASW is required, depending on your discipline.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain partnerships with stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience in a health-related discipline, with a strong background in leadership and project management.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role and project management is highly desirable.
  • You will have a proven track record of leading reforms and change management processes, as well as the ability to research, analyse, and produce high-quality reports and proposals.
  • You will have experience in planning, facilitation, and training, with the ability to lead planning sessions, conduct in-services, and workshop training and reflective practice sessions.
  • You will have experience in providing training, workshops, and workforce development opportunities to clinical mental health staff.
  • You will have skills and experience in the provision of workforce development approaches to clinical mental health staff and multidisciplinary teams.
  • You will have strong strategic communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate complex and dispersed divisions to achieve outcomes.
  • You will be a highly resilient, flexible, and future-focused leader who maintains boundaries and effectively manages competing priorities in a safe, productive, and cooperative work environment.
  • Experience in student and/or graduate placement coordination and supervision is highly desirable.
  • You will have a passion for youth mental health and a keen interest in improving service provision for young people and families in the Darwin, Palmerston, and Katherine regions.

Salary and Benefits

HPSS Level 4.2 $108,447.94 p/a + Super + Super + Salary packaging option and 5 weeks annual leave. A vehicle is also included in the package, plus a $6,000 relocation allowance.
