About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our multi-user computer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Set up and maintain administrator and service accounts, as well as system documentation.
  • System Performance Tuning: Optimize system performance to ensure efficient operation.
  • Software Installation: Install system-wide software and ensure it is properly configured.
  • Storage Management: Allocate mass storage space and ensure data is properly backed up.
  • Server Support: Support and maintain an extensive server platform and related applications.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Utilize enterprise-wide monitoring platforms to identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with business technology groups to administer, support, and manage existing infrastructure deployments and functions.
  • Agile Sprints and Testing: Participate in agile sprints and provide user representation during testing.
  • Change Management: Support Change Management activities and ensure smooth transition of solutions into production and operational use.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop plans, procedures, work instructions, manuals, and other technical documentation for use by personnel.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise with other teams through delivery and escalation processes of the team's tasks.
  • Progress Monitoring: Plan, monitor, and report on progress of activities within your team's assigned work packages.
Requirements
  • Experience: Working experience in server, desktop, and active directory administration and support in a medium-to-large scale environment, preferably in the public or defense sector.
  • Active Directory Administration: Comparable experience administering a multi-domain/Active Directory user environment over a wide area TCP/IP network.
  • Windows Active Directory and Related Technologies: Experience with Windows Active Directory and other related technologies such as DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Networking, Storage, and Backup: Experience with networking, storage, and backup technologies.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Modern Server Hardware Concepts: Solid understanding of modern server hardware concepts with knowledge.
  • SharePoint Experience: Experience with SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online.
  • Customer and Webpage Design: Experience with customers and webpage design.
  • ITIL Foundation v3 Certification: ITIL Foundation v3 certified.
  • SharePoint Power User Experience: SharePoint Power User experience.
