Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise IT Systems Administrator to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our enterprise systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration: Provide day-to-day system administration support for desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems involving applications, operating systems, hardware, communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
  • Infrastructure Support: Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and management of system infrastructure and related processes.
  • Problem Identification and Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve Tier 2 and Tier 3 problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective problem resolution and provide regular updates on system status.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
  • Certifications and Clearances: Must have Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire, and TS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly.
  • Technical Skills: UNIX, Windows, and/or Storage administration, experience working with trouble reporting and tracking systems, and ability to create and modify scripts in multiple disciplines.
Desired Skills
  • Imagery Intelligence Domain Experience: Experience in the imagery intelligence domain is a plus.
  • Scripting and Automation: Ability to create and modify scripts in multiple disciplines on Windows, Linux, and Solaris systems.
  • Database Administration: General knowledge of database administration, network administration, and possess network configuration management skills.
