System Administrator

Infinite Talent Group is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our team as part of the CTO Change Program. The successful candidate will work closely with our client to deliver key elements of the Data Management & Analysis Platform (DMAP).
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with client personnel and contractors to deploy infrastructure, operating systems, and applications, utilizing infrastructure-as-Code approaches for the DMAP solution.
- Attend and contribute to stand-ups, sprint planning, technical design workshops, and other relevant meetings to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide regular updates on progress of current tasks, including through Git Lab tickets, to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Understand and ensure client requirements are met, communicating constructively with colleagues, product owners, internal clients, and managers.
- Work effectively in a small team environment, providing knowledge/skills transfer to other team members and recording and maintaining files/information in accordance with client requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in Linux administration, containerisation technologies, automation tooling, virtualisation technologies, and storage hardware technologies.
- Proficient and demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining Linux systems, with a strong understanding of security best practices.
- Experience using collaboration tools, including git, issue tracking, and wikis, as well as a solid understanding of network protocols.
- Negative Vetting Level 1 or the ability to obtain one.
- Centralised logging experience, including Elasticsearch and Splunk.
- Cyber Security Practices, including the Australian Government Information Security Manual and Essential 8.
- Issue tracking and collaboration tools, including Git, Git Lab, and Service Now.
- Code management and tracking, including Git and Git Lab.
- Networking experience, including switching, routing, ACLs, VPN, proxies, and IPSEC.
- Monitoring Systems, including Check MK and SNMP.
- No SQL databases, including MongoDB and Cassandra.
- SQL databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Web servers, including nginx.
- Message queues/event streaming, including Rabbit MQ and Kafka.
- Workflow orchestration, including Nifi, Prefect, and Airflow.
- Cloud platform providers, including Azure, AWS, or Google.
