Job Title:

About the Role:

We are seeking full-time Intermediate Riggers and Advanced Riggers to assemble and install rigging gear, including ropes, cables, pulleys, and winches, to position structural steel and other heavy materials for the construction of transmission network infrastructure.

The Project:

This involves the expansion of an existing substation, along with the design and construction of a new double circuit transmission line. This new transmission line will connect the substation at one interface point with another.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install rigging gear.
  • Position structural steel and other heavy materials.
  • Work on the construction of transmission network infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We require applicants to have relevant experience and hold a High Risk Work Licence (Rigger Intermediate and/or Advanced). For Intermediate:

  1. Successfully completed UETDRT0016 - Installing Transmission Line Steel or equivalent.
  2. Can perform duties as installing Transmission Line Steel (assisting overhead transmission lines personnel).

For Advanced:

  1. Successfully completed Certificate II - Transmission Line Construction UET20422.
  2. Can perform duties outlined above and any of the following:
    1. Operate brakes, winches, and associated rigging equipment to position steel units.
    2. Assist overhead transmission lines personnel to string overhead transmission conductors.
    Benefits:

We offer a competitive remuneration package in accordance with our Enterprise Agreement 2024–2028. Salaries vary based on roster arrangements. Additional allowances apply per the agreement.

We provide camp accommodation for workers engaged on a 21/7 roster. Camps are located in Yass and Adjungbilly. Facilities include dry and wet mess rooms, wellness support, a gym, and open areas for outdoor activities.
