Job Description

Civil supervisors oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, safety and timely completion.

The role involves conducting site inspections, coordinating subcontractors, managing a workforce and maintaining daily records.

Supervisors must be autonomous and coordinate internal and external resources effectively.

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety outcomes
  • Coordinate subcontractors onsite
  • Manage a workforce of supervision, labour and subcontractors
  • Work autonomously and coordinate internal and external resources
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to high standards
  • Maintain and communicate regular program updates to the project team and subcontractors
  • Coordinate relationships between various trades and ensure sub-contractors carry work out safely and efficiently
Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have extensive experience in civil construction (3 years minimum experience in a similar role)

They should also possess solid foundations in typical civil works including earthworks, flexible and rigid pavements, buried services and infrastructural, formed structural concrete, landscaping and other unique civil and infrastructure type projects.

  • A proven history of working alongside a team of engineers
  • Be competent in understanding, reviewing and working to project Drawings and Specifications
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
  • Willingness to lead and motivate team members
