Boat Builders - Senior Composite Technicians

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced professionals to fill the role of Boat Builders – Senior Composite Technicians.

Job Summary:

This position requires a strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills and experience in composite construction.

Lamination Techniques
  • Prepare moulds for lamination, ensuring they are clean and free from debris.
  • Apply release agents to prevent sticking and ensure smooth laminate formation.
  • Laminate fiberglass components to meet specific requirements and tolerances.
  • Perform in-line inspections to detect any defects or imperfections.
Composite Fabrication
  1. Read and interpret drawings and specifications to plan and execute tasks accurately.
  2. Handle hazardous chemicals safely and maintain a clean workspace.
  3. Install structural materials such as wood, aluminum flat bar, foam, and core mat.
  4. De-mould parts and perform quality control checks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in composite construction and boat building.
  • Excellent technical skills, including laminating, bonding, and fabricating composites.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
