Job Title: Operations Manager

\

The Operations Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day activities of our Manufacturing and Treatment Plant facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in timber manufacturing and treatment, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Business Manager in managing daily plant operations, including quality control, dispatch, stock management, and purchasing.\
  • Support the implementation of our Zero Harm Program, including training, risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and compliance.\
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to meet budget, efficiency, and quality targets.\
  • Assist with reporting requirements, compliance activities, and management reviews.\
  • Lead, train, and support staff to ensure safe and efficient work practices.\
  • Oversee Quality Control, internal audits, and reporting requirements.\
  • Foster positive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.\
  • Built a positive work culture, focusing on safety and wellbeing.\
  • Schedule and manage maintenance activities to minimize downtime.\\/ul\

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager who has:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in timber manufacturing or treatment.\
  • Experience in people management or studies.\
  • A solid understanding of budgeting, payroll, ordering, and accounting principles.\
  • An understanding of timber technology.\
  • A hands-on leadership style that works well with people and leads by example.\
  • The ability to communicate and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.\
  • A sound mechanical understanding.\
  • A strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.\\/ul\
