Trade Training Coordinator

This role involves the daily management of a correctional centre's Work Detail and providing trade training to inmates. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing quality, maintaining communication with community partners and reporting operational issues.
About the Role:The Trade Training Coordinator will oversee the work undertaken by inmates, maintain inventory, conduct equipment maintenance and repairs, and order materials and spare parts.
The key responsibilities of this role include report writing, managing production, conducting competency assessments, and sourcing materials.
About You:We are looking for a motivated individual with experience in a correctional environment or a related trade. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, communication skills, and the ability to work with various stakeholders within the community.
The ideal candidate will have a trade certificate or equivalent in Agriculture, Horticulture, Grounds Maintenance, or a Construction-based trade, as well as a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or willingness to undertake training to obtain this accreditation.
The minimum requirements for this role include 5 years post-trade experience, developed production and customer service skills, attention to detail, and experience with Quality Management Systems.
