This senior program director position is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team in Canberra. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead projects and drive results.

Job Description

As a senior program director, you will be responsible for leading large-scale projects from initiation to completion. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive project plans. Your excellent organizational and leadership skills will enable you to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation and risk management
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Manage and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of industry experience in project management
  • Proven experience as a business manager or in a relevant role
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Atlassian – Jira
  • Highly effective stakeholder management skills (internal and cross-organisation)
  • Experience in organisational and project risk management
