About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated spiritual care professional to deliver person-centred support to residents and their families.

This position embodies our commitment to holistic care, recognising that spiritual wellbeing is essential to overall health and quality of life.

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering meaningful connections and promoting autonomy, dignity, and emotional wellbeing for each resident.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred spiritual support to residents and their families
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote holistic care
  • Foster meaningful connections and promote autonomy, dignity, and emotional wellbeing for each resident
  • Provide inclusive spiritual care that honours diverse beliefs, cultures, and traditions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Theology, Counselling, Social Sciences or equivalent at a tertiary level
  • Clinical Pastoral Education or the equivalent reflective practice training
  • Certified Level Two member of Spiritual Care Australia preferred
  • Awareness and understanding of diverse cultures, beliefs, practices, and traditions
  • Capability in leading public and informal rituals and services
  • Driver's License and willingness to travel to various sites
  • Knowledge of the process of ageing and dementia awareness
  • Understanding of issues and spiritual needs surrounding grief and loss
  • A thorough understanding of the spiritual and pastoral care components of palliative care
