Spiritual Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Spiritual Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in pastoral care to provide emotional and spiritual support to clients, their families, and staff.

This is a permanent part-time position working Wednesday - Friday at our residential site. As a key member of the pastoral care team, you will work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to enhance the spiritual wellbeing of residents and families.

  • You will provide individualized spiritual care plans, working closely with residents and their loved ones to understand their needs and goals.
  • Develop and lead regular carer support groups to foster a sense of community and connection among caregivers.
  • Collaborate with other religious leaders and services to coordinate relevant care, resources, and group activities.
  • Network with managers, case managers, and attend staff and case management meetings as required.

About You

  • You have a strong understanding of people living with dementia, the impact on carers, and journeys of grief and bereavement.
  • Personal Christian faith and church involvement are essential for this role.
  • Theological or Pastoral Care qualifications and experience are highly desirable.
