Spiritual Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Spiritual Care Practitioner to join our team in delivering person-centred spiritual support to residents and their families across multiple sites.

This role embodies our commitment to holistic care, recognising the importance of spiritual wellbeing in overall health and quality of life.

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to foster meaningful connections and promote autonomy, dignity, and emotional wellbeing for each resident.

With sensitivity and insight, you'll provide inclusive spiritual care that honours the diverse beliefs, cultures, and traditions of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred spiritual support to residents and their families
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote autonomy, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
  • Provide inclusive spiritual care that respects diverse beliefs, cultures, and traditions
  • Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care planning

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Theology, Counselling, Social Sciences or equivalent at a tertiary level
  • Clinical Pastoral Education or the equivalent reflective practice training (according to current industry standards)
  • Certified Level Two member of Spiritual Care Australia preferred: eligibility essential
  • Awareness and understanding of diverse cultures, beliefs, practices and traditions
  • Capability in leading public and informal rituals and services
