We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies (WCFT), a world leader in the development and application of FRP composite engineered materials.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in industrial settings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements for Workplace Health and Safety within project and operational timeframes.

This role involves working on day-to-day electrical operations, undertaking scheduled industrial electrical installation, maintenance work, and emergency breakdowns. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, be proactive in identifying and tracking project risks, and provide professional advice to managers regarding electrical planning and operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring training and compliance with Wagner's Safety Management System is undertaken at all operations
  • Understanding and adhering to Wagner's risk management policies and practices
  • Undertaking day-to-day electrical operations, including scheduled installations, maintenance work, and emergency breakdowns
  • Monitoring and reducing costs associated with electrical repair and maintenance
  • Investigating plant or equipment deficiencies and ensuring BRC and other standards are met
  • Providing professional advice to managers regarding electrical planning and operations

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years' experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical equipment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical motors, control wiring, resistive load controls, pneumatic and hydraulic control wiring, PLCs, variable speed drives, and AS3000
  • Awareness and understanding of WH & S Electrical Safety Standards
  • Electrical Trade Qualification (electrical Fitter/Electrical mechanic)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • LRV Certificate
