Electrical and Instrument Technician

This is a rare opportunity to join Veolia’s Energy division in the role of Electrical and Instrument Technician Manager. Based at the University of the Sunshine Coast you will be completing all designated electrical and general maintenance both planned and reactive in a timely and safe manner. This will involve undertaking installation work when required, and providing electrical support to the site team.

**What you’ll be responsible for**

In this role you will be a key member of our Operations function and be responsible for:

- Complete maintenance tasks, ensuring all services are performed in accordance with contractual expectations
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment to locate the cause of the fault and rectify any issues
- Ensure that all relevant statutory testing is complete when due, and corresponding paperwork is completed
- Test electrical systems, circuits, equipment and fixtures, using appropriate meters to ensure functionality and safety of systems
- Install and repair electrical systems, calibrate equipment,commissioning, and inspect designs for quality control.
- Commit to a “Safety First”, “Always Safe” work ethic and culture to ensure that safety is at the forefront of all interactions

**What you’ll need to be successful**
- Qld electrical fitter/mechanic licence
- Have a up to date driving licence
- Strong skills in computer literacy and strong written and verbal communication
- Experience with BMS controls or PLC and SCADA experience.
- Desirable; Experience with data cabling & proven ability to form positive working relationships with Management and within a team environment

Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical check relevant to the role.
