Job Title: HR Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR professional to join our team in Broome, Western Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to departments in the absence of the HR Manager, assisting in the implementation of grievance and disciplinary procedures, and providing accurate advice and guidance to staff on employment-related matters.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing training and development opportunities to the HR team;
  • Ensuring legal requirements are adhered to regarding discrimination, sexual harassment, minimum conditions, OH&S, grievance and disciplinary procedures;
  • Managing the progress of resort apprentices and trainees through close contact with managers and external training organizations and agencies;
  • Overseeing the performance management and training systems;
  • Administering the Health and wellbeing program;
  • Coordinating visa and sponsorship information and assisting in the administration of the Seasonal Worker Program.

The required skills, attributes and experience for this position includes:

  • Knowledge of Industrial Relations, Recruitment, Privacy and Training legislation is essential;
  • Previous experience in a hotel/resort environment of international standard preferred;
  • Human Resources Qualification, or at least 3 years HR management experience;
  • Proven customer service experience required;
  • Intermediate level skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Office 365 SharePoint;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Current driver's license.
