Who are KRSP
Kimberley Regional Service Providers (KRSP) delivers both essential services - including vital maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements to essential power, water, and wastewater infrastructure - and municipal services, enhancing the quality of life for Indigenous communities across remote areas of the Kimberley region in Western Australia.
Operating from its Broome headquarters and workshop, KRSP is known for its innovative approach, dependability, high-quality workmanship, and professional service.
About the role
We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Diesel Fitter/Mechanic with a proven track record of achieving results in a similar position.
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, the Diesel Fitter/Mechanic is an integral part of KRSP's operational team who contributes to our success by ensuring the reliability of essential service infrastructure.
This position is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to a significant positive impact on the day-to-day lives of the members of communities serviced by KRSP.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Conduct scheduled maintenance on diesel generators within remote power stations
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimise breakdowns and extend asset lifespan
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults and failures, identifying and resolving issues efficiently
- Respond to unplanned maintenance and repairs
- Maintain accurate and complete service records
- Assist with the servicing and maintenance of water, water treatment and wastewater service assets
Location
This position involves a drive-in/drive-out roster from Broome to remote Kimberley communities. Kimberley residents are strongly encouraged to apply, as are those willing to relocate to the region. Fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) options are available for applicants residing outside the Kimberley.
Our typical roster involves 18 days on followed by 12 days off. Given the nature and location of our work, we need candidates who are flexible with these roster cycles.
