Project Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of capital works projects that shape our community. These projects involve diverse infrastructure, building, civil, and landscape initiatives that require technical expertise and project management skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project initiation, design, procurement, and delivery to ensure successful outcomes. This includes reviewing draft designs for constructability and potential omissions, developing technical requirements for requests for quote (RFQs) and request for tender (RFTs), and leading evaluation panels to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction project delivery via external contractors and service providers;
  • Oversee timely completion within budget and quality parameters;
  • Provide technical advice, status reporting, contract management, and budget/time management to stakeholders;
  • Liaise with governing authorities and utility providers to ensure compliance and approvals;
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams using effective interpersonal and communication skills;

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership and project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of Local Government building and construction industry practices. You should also be certified in Work Health and Safety (WHS) Construction Induction and hold a valid Class C Driver's Licence.
