Project Manager Role
Deliver a wide range of capital works projects that shape the community, focusing on diverse infrastructure, building, civil, and landscape projects.
Manage project initiation, design, procurement, and delivery to ensure successful outcomes.
Review draft designs for constructability and potential omissions, applying technical knowledge and expertise.
Develop technical requirements for requests for quote (RFQs) and request for tender (RFTs), and lead evaluation panels to make informed decisions.
Represent the Superintendent's interests on assigned projects, fostering effective collaboration and communication.
Oversee construction project delivery via external contractors and service providers, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality parameters.
Provide technical advice, status reporting, contract management, and budget/time management to stakeholders, leveraging expertise in Local Government building and construction industry practices.
Lead Project Control Groups (PCGs) to drive project success, collaborating with team members and stakeholders to achieve objectives.
Develop and deliver projects utilizing knowledge of Local Government building and construction industry practices, driving innovation and excellence.
Liaise with governing authorities and utility providers to ensure compliance and approvals, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Collaborate with clients and project teams using effective interpersonal and communication skills, driving client satisfaction and project success.
Coordinate design activities, manage contractors, and provide technical direction throughout the project lifecycle, delivering results-oriented solutions.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all project phases.
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success, employing proactive risk management strategies.
Requirements:
Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or similar field.
Possess a valid Class C Driver's Licence.
Be certified in Work Health and Safety (WHS) Construction Induction.
