Job Overview
As a Capital Works Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-impact projects that shape the community.
This role is critical to ensuring project success through effective management and coordination.
Managing the initiation, design, procurement, and delivery of capital works projects
Reviewing draft designs for constructability and potential omissions
Developing technical requirements for RFQs and RFTs, and leading evaluation panels
Acting as Superintendent's Representative on assigned projects
Oversight of construction project delivery via external contractors and service providers
Providing technical advice, status reporting, contract management, and budget/time management
Leading and chairing Project Control Groups (PCGs)
Development and delivery of projects utilizing knowledge of Local Government building and construction industry practices
Liaising with governing authorities and/or utility providers to ensure compliance and approvals
Collaboration and management of client and project needs using effective interpersonal and communication skills
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in project management, civil engineering, or a related field.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing multi-disciplinary capital works projects, strong knowledge of legislation, regulations, design standards, and codes of practice relating to construction and infrastructure, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This position requires a motivated and dedicated individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality projects.

Identify and mitigate project risks
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Required qualifications include:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or related field
Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work effectively in a team environment
