Job Description:

Our ideal candidate is a technical expert with sound knowledge of commercial law. You will work closely with partners to advise clients on legal issues, opportunities, and risk. Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues, building strong relationships and ensuring regular contact.
  • Developing a deep understanding of the commercial context of legal services sought by clients and their business critical success factors.
  • Combining technical excellence with pragmatic commercial advice to deliver high-quality solutions for clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Technical expertise in commercial law, including knowledge of laws in foreign jurisdictions and Australian jurisdiction.
  • Experience drafting detailed advices, court documents, and other relevant legal documentation.
  • Proven negotiation skills, having successfully negotiated on behalf of clients in relation to legal matters.
  • Experience running litigious matters through their entire lifecycle.
