Electoral Support Officer

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of our dynamic team, providing exceptional support to our Member and the electorate office.

As an Electoral Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for all constituent enquiries, delivering administrative and secretarial support with precision and professionalism.

  • You will manage events, forums, and community engagement activities to enhance public outreach and foster strong relationships with our constituents.
  • Provide policy advice, media liaison, research, and preparation for parliament, exercising sound judgement when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Analyse policy and legislation to ensure informed decision-making and effective representation.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with our constituents, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Superior organisational skills to coordinate multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines with ease.
  • Good word processing, keyboard, database, and computer skills to maintain accurate records and produce high-quality documents.
  • Interest in NSW political context and Australian parliamentary procedures to provide informed advice and support.
