About the Role
The Return to Work Specialist plays a vital role in supporting injured workers and employers in their return to work strategies. As part of our Claims team, you will be working closely with clients on site, gathering information from various stakeholders, and developing effective case management strategies.
With a company car provided, you will have the opportunity to travel to different locations, meeting with workers, employers, and treating health practitioners to discuss, plan, and implement strategies to help with a worker's recovery and get back into work.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- The ability to gather information from a range of stakeholders to develop effective case management strategies;
- A valid Victorian Drivers License;
- Experience in preparing and attending claims reviews and clinical case conferences to effectively facilitate outcomes;
- Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- High attention to detail;
- Advanced organisational and planning skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Resilience and perseverance;
- Strong customer service ethic;
- Negotiation and influencing skills;
- Initiative and an innovative approach to case management;
Required Expertise
- Claims management experience in the Victorian workers' compensation scheme, ideally in return to work case management, Allied Health background in Nursing, Physio or Occupational Rehabilitation;
- Knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including the forms of treatment applicable to injuries;
- Strong working knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act 1985 and associated regulations;
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment;
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change;
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ACCtion and Novus;

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
This role offers a salary package of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
